For a few years my drivers seat has been making a creaking noise. I just thought it was the seat springs getting old. But then it made a loud pop when I got in so I decided it was time to fix it. This is what I found when I pulled the seat out:
 The easy fix would be to re weld it back together. But the only welder I have access to is at work and there is the matter of having to strip all the foam and seat cover off to weld it. So I was looking for a quick and easy fix that I could do at home. I came up with the idea of drilling through the side frames and installing a rod and flat head screws inside the tube of the frame. It was not too difficult and seems to be holding up well.

 And this is the first time I have removed my seat so I got a chance to clean up under the seat. I found some glass, money, trash, dirt, but surprisingly no french fries.
